St. Mary’s competes in the Diocese of Bridgeport St. Sebastian Basketball League.  The season runs from late September until mid-March. Tryouts are held annually for girls and boys in grades 5-8 in late September.  Students in grades 5 & 6 play on the Junior Varsity team, and those in 7th & 8th grade play on the Varsity. Games are played against other Parochial School teams in the local area.  The season culminates in a Championship Tournament typically in mid-March. To participate, all students must have an updated and current physical on file with the school nurse.
